Smash Ultimate | Marth/Lucina Guide
Marth has dominated Smash since his inclusion in Melee. His tippers, chain grabs, and range all added up to a threatening opponent to face. In Ultimate though, he’s much weaker in comparison. The lack of tools to micro space like wave dashes and perfect pivots, as well as the removal of chain grabs, hurt him worse than any other character. This is because his non-topper hits make it much harder for Marth to kill. He may not be as powerful in neutral, but his tipper still kills opponents incredibly early.
Lucina, on the other hand, wasn’t effected by the removal of micro spacing as much as Marth however. Her consistent hit boxes on her sword allow her todo equal amounts of damage without having to focus primarily on spacing. Her smash attacks kill more consistently as well because of the consistent hit box. -- Watch live at / unpaused47
