In all of my years watching snowy owls, never in my life have I witnessed such a 'bully' of an owl. I observed (photographed, videotaped) this particular female owl on several occasions. She would randomly charge at other owls attempting to drive them out of her territory. One day we watched her leave her high perch & charge at 3 male & 1 female snowy owls, consecutively. These owls were just roosting on poles or in the field, minding their own business and Queen B just took it upon herself to send them a clear message to vacate. This has been a regular occurrence.
In the photos I post after the short video, you will see a male snowy owl that was in Queen B's field. The photos speak for themselves. I just wanted to share this experience with you.
