Duracool 12a is a natural, hydrocarbon-based refrigerant gas with no greenhouse gas or ozone depletion.
Duracool 12a is an ideal replacement for R12, R134a, and 1234yf gases found in automotive refrigeration systems. Duracool 12a is compatible with both mineral and synthetic air conditioning oils.
In addition, Duracool 12a has larger molecules than the original gases, and thus allows saving 30 to 40% of gas on the complete charge of the refrigeration circuit. Each 170g can is equivalent to 484g of HFC-R134a, 513g of CFC-R12, and 340g of HFO 1234yf.
Duracool refrigerants operate at lower pressures and provide energy savings of up to 40% compared to CFCs, HCFCs, and HFCs. This can will not be covered by a warranty unless it is used with our DC3000 and/or DC402 charging hoses (many charging hoses are available on the market, but they are not compatible with our cans and can damage the threads).
ADVANTAGE of Duracool 12a: DURACOOL refrigerants do not require approval to be purchased or installed in a circuit free of CFCs, HFCs, or HCFCs. Any work on a circuit still containing fluorine: CFC, HFC or HCFC requires the operator to comply with the laws in force (Decree of July 4, 2009). Please note: this gas is authorized in France but is not approved by car manufacturers, and may void your vehicle's manufacturer's warranty if charged with Duracool 12A.
