The one script that I created called TalkOver is what lets you hit one button and start your playback of your video that you're watching and start the recording in OBS Studio.
You hit another hot key to stop the video to keep that take. It stops the video and the recording right at the exact spot.
If you don't like that take, you can hit the next hotkey and it will stop the video, stop the recording and roll your video back to the same spot so you can do multiple takes over and over until you like the one you want to keep. In the second script I'll put the link to lets you delete your last video clip so you can set a hotkey for that and every time you do a bad take you can hit this other hotkey to delete that video and then start over on your next take

For the Edzone custom talkover script, I'm working on trying to get it listed in the OBS project resources area under scripts.
