A TEMPLE FOR KOH MAK - Short Documentary
At the beginning of the 20th century, Luang Prompakdee and his family moved to the previously acquired island of Koh Mak. After more than 100 years, the descendants of Luang Prompakdee, now divided into 5 families, still live on the island. It was clear from the beginning that the island needs a temple. About 70 years ago the first temporary temple was built. A few years ago, the 5 families got together and with the help of many donations began with the construction of the temple, which had been planned for decades. On 18.03.2565 (2022) then the next big step. The main Buddha, carved out of stone, will be ceremoniously accompanied on its way to the temple. There he finds a provisional home before the new building of the temple until the final completion.
