2014 Hyundai Sonata intermittent start problem
2014 Hyundai Sonata se 2.0T will sometimes not start. Everything comes on, it just doesn't start.
This happened shortly after purchasing the vehicle. I was able to jiggle and mess with stud until it eventually started. The first dealer i called said they had not heard of such a problem and that the only way they could address the problem was if they could recreate the problem. They agreed that since it was an intermittent problem, i would probably have to tow it in when it would refuse to start. The second dealer said they had seen this problem and it seemed to have something to do with faulty shift columns.
I know it's not difficult to just mess with the shifter, but it's not right. There is a problem here that Hyundai should address.
I wasn't going to tow the car in, and i think the dealership knew that. So i took this video. Hopefully they will do something with this video evidence.
