The Weapon the Samurai Feared… the Kusarigama!
The Kusarigama is a small sickle (blade) with a weighted chain attached. It was a versatile weapon and effective against the sword. The weighted chain is swung to keep the swordsman at bay or used to trap or entangle him if he came close, in which case the Kusarigama user would rush in to strike with the sickle blade. The Kusarigama became the most feared weapon for the Samurai.
