Over the past week I have been developing my HDRI lighting workflow inside Unreal engine.
Here is an example of the quality that can be achieved with HDRI lighting and Real-time ray tracing inside Unreal engine.
Unreal Engine impresses me more and more every time I use it, I found having real time feedback directly in the viewport particularly invaluable when it came to framing shots, particularly when it came to bring lighting effects into play.
I must say I am looking forward to the team at Epic Games sorting out Unreal’s handling of raytraced transparency as it’s one area that really lets it down, although I may be missing something?
