Xur sells exotic armor pieces, one for each class (Titan, Hunter, Warlock) every week. He also sells a random exotic weapon and two exotic weapon bundles with ornament. To buy exotic armor and weapon from Xur you will need Strange Coins. To buy exotic weapon bundles you will need Strange Coins and Silver Dust.
You can also buy several other useful items from Xur for Strange Coins like Heavy Ammo Synthesis, Three of Coins, Glass Needles, Exotic Shard and Mote of Light.
Xur is in average form this week. Buying recommendation: 4/6.
Titan: Immolation Fists exotic gauntlets - Unlocks the Sunbreaker subclass node Explosive Pyre for free. Enemies brought down by your hammer explode, chaining fiery Solar damage to other enemies. This is a good armor, however there are better exotics for a Titan, it is unlikely you will ever use it, buy it only to complete you collection.
Hunter: Khepri’s Sting exotic gauntlets - Gain invisibility after crouching in place for a short time. Melee attacking an enemy from behind while invisible delivers 4x damage. Melee attacks apply a lingering damage effect. This is a very useful exotic in the crucible and in certain situations in PVE too, definitely BUY it.
Warlock: Voidfang Vestments exotic chest armor - Spawn with full grenade and Axion Bolt gains additional seeker. This is a useless exotic, there are too little benefits and there are far better exotics for a Warlock. Buy it only to complete your collection.
Weapon: Patience and Time exotic sniper rifle. You gain active camouflage while aiming down the sights. Very good in the crucible, Titans and Warlocks can go invisible too. BUY it.
Weapon Bundle: Invective and Iconoclast exotic shotgun. This weapon regenerates ammo over time. Invective is a very good Crucible weapon, definitely buy it.
Weapon Bundle: Zhalo Supercell and Shock Hazard exotic auto rifle. Arc projectiles have the chance to chain lightning when enemies are close together. Double kills with this weapon charge a small amount of Super energy and return ammo to the magazine. Zhalo Supercell is one of the best weapons in Destiny, it is very good in both PVE and PVP, definitely BUY it.
