How to Assign Shortcut Keys in macOS

Click on the apple icon at the top left corner of your screen. Select ‘System Preferences’ from the list. Go to ‘Keyboard’.
Go to ‘Shortcuts’ tab. Select ‘App Shortcuts’ from the left side list. Click on the plus icon to add a shortcut. Select the application you want to launch with a shortcut. Name the shortcut. Put your mouse pointer into ‘Keyboard shortcut’ field. Press the keys combo on your keyboard. Click on ‘Add’.
