A number of regional and national media outlets have been abuzz with the news: pilot Snezhana Ignatenko of the Surgut-based Barsy aerobatic team is accused of providing a service that doesn't meet safety and security requirements. A criminal case has been opened. Allegedly, during one of the flights, a passenger on a Yak-52 flown by the pilot experienced genuine fear, after which she filed a complaint with the transport prosecutor's office. We, along with other media outlets, met with Snezhana to find out all the details of this story.
"A typical flying day. I had time, arrived at the airfield, had a plan, and were flying. I completed my flight. I briefed this girl. I prepared the plane. I landed, requested clearance, and off we went. Somewhere in August, if I'm not mistaken, I received a call saying, 'We're inviting you in for questioning.' "That's how this whole unpleasant story began," noted Snezhana Ignatenko, a member of the Barsa women's aerobatic team.
