This Malayalam-Hindi language film is an Indo-French production jisko 8 minute ki lambi standing ovation mili at its screening. It is the first nomination for the Palme d’Or since Shaji N Karun’s 1994 movie Swaham, and Payal made history by being the FIRST Indian to ever win a Grand Prix award!
