Do you remember from one of my previous videos that “Qu’est-ce que” can be used for more than just questions?
It's a versatile sentence used for expressing strong emotions:
🌟 "Qu’est-ce que c’est beau !" (How beautiful it is!)
🌟 "Qu’est-ce que c’est dingue !" (That's crazy!)
These phrases work exceptionally well with adjectives.
But what about nouns?
In this case, use “quelle” for feminine nouns and “quel” for masculine nouns:
🥖 "Quelle surprise !" (What a surprise!)
🥖 "Quel dommage !" (What a pity! What a shame! Such a shame!)
While not every noun fits this structure, it’s a great grammatical tool to express emotions.
How about “Quelle tristesse !” (What sadness!)?
