How to create a multi-step form in Instapage
To create a multi=step form, you need at least 2 forms. With Instapage, each form is located on a different page. For this tutorial, we will be using a duplicate of our primary page as our secondary page. That way, our design is consistent. To begin, click on “add new” and select “ forms”. Position your form where you’d like.
Once you have added all of your desired fields, click on the form and then select edit. From here, select the “Multi-Step” option.
You’ll be prompted to name the form, and include it as part of a multi-step series. For this example, we’ll label this as Coffee
Step 1, and create a new group called “ Coffee Contact” When done, click Save. And then publish the page. Also - make sure to save your page!
Now, navigate back to your Instapage dashboard. We need to make a copy of this page that the second part of the form can housed on. Find the form, click on the drop down arrow beside the more button, and select duplicate.
Click “edit page” on the new form. Once inside the editor, click on the form and make field changes as you require. Click edit when you are done, and select multi-step. Name the form, for example, coffee Step 2, and select the same group as before. Now, publish the page. Don’t forget to save! Copy the URL from this newly published page.
Only one more step! Navigate back to your Instapage dashboard and click edit page on the first page of this series Select the form button, click edit, and select redirect. Then, under redirect page to, choose outside URL, and paste the URL from the second page. Now, when this button is clicked, users will be directed to the second page, which has the second part of the form.
And that’s it!
