This is a review of the original GI Joe Multi-purpose Attack Vehicle (VAMP) and it's driver Clutch. Iconic in it's design, yet simplistic and sturdy, the VAMP is a toy every GI Joe fan should have in their collection. First released in 1982 and re-released in 1983 (with Clutch having updated Swivel-Arm Battle Grip). The following year it was replaced by the brown VAMP mk.II, the first time any vehicle in the GI Joe line was replaced by a direct next generation. Clutch was supposed to be made available again by mail-order in the early 1990's, but the distribution cases (along with Hawk and Grand Slam) wound up on the secondary market instead.
