"Sunrise, Sunset" was written in 1964 by composer Jerry Bock and lyricist Sheldon Harnick for the musical Fiddler on the Roof. The musical was adapted to a successful film in 1971, starring Haim Topol as Tevye. Sunrise Sunset is performed at the scene of the wedding of Tzeitel, Tevye and Golde's eldest daughter. This is one of the most famous and touching scenes, featuring a universal heartbreaking moment of aging parents coping with their children growing up and leaving the nest. The two parents marvel at how quickly time has passed and can't believe their daughter has grown up and is now standing under the wedding canopy.

As we conclude this wonderful year with celebrations of graduations, camp sendoffs and more, we wanted to share this video that celebrates the passage of time.
