Spider-Man: Lost Cause is a fan film we started in 2012 and released at the end of 2014. It has now gained over 60 million views
For the second part of the video I want to talk to the creators who want to make a fanfilm but can’t, whether they don’t feel like they have the right people, equipment, budget or even talent. We live in an age now where creators have the most amazing cameras, have huge budgets due to kickstarter and indie gogo and access to insane talent due to that. I get a little worried that this could ultimately demotivate creators who don’t have access to these amazing things which of course grows by the day.
In this two part series I want to dive deep into every bit of process of the filmmaking journey of Lost Cause a fan film that we made with no budget and by the end of it I if I’ve inspired one person to go make a fan film with the resources you have then I’ve done my job.
