Job Title: SCCM Engineer
Location: Arlington VA
Duration: 8+ months
Clearance: active secret
Certifications: CISSP certified (must be capable of obtaining a CISSP certification within 6 months) or CISM certified
Education: BS of Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, cyber-security or equivalent.
Statement of Work:
This position is for a Security Engineer to provide support for IBM’s contract with USAID.
Task Description:
Responsibilities include installing, operating, and maintaining portions of the security infrastructure including security applications within an enterprise environment supporting IBM’s Federal Infrastructure Managed Services team. Location is Arlington, VA. The resource must be onsite.
Required skills/Level of Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience implementing, operating, and maintaining server and/or network operating systems.
Preferred skills/Level of Experience:
Support day-to-day Administrative and Operational activities for Security services. Support the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) tool for packaging, deploying, and managing software products on Windows hosts. This position will work within the Security Operations team in coordination with other Operations teams to manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot, and support a mixed customer environment of Windows hosts.
• 2 years of experience in security engineering related to vulnerability management, intrusion prevention, data protection, monitoring, analytical and correlation tools.
• 2 years of experience in managing firewalls and intrusion prevention/detection systems including the ability to demonstrate a mature understanding of networking best practices.
• 2 years of experience working in a Security Operations Center and performing analysis of security events.
• 2 years of experience in security compliance related to FISMA, NIST, and related security and risk management regulations.
• 2 years of system administration experience working the Linux and Windows operating systems for servers and desktops.
• 2 years of experience working with PowerShell, Python and/or other scripting tools or languages.
• Knowledge of IBM and industry security tool suites and capabilities.

Commercially available Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) products experience needed:
• Experience with Microsoft SCCM 2012 or current branch extremely desired
• Experience with an enterprise software packaging and deployment process for Windows hosts and best practices extremely desired
• Experience with performing advanced security analysis of logs and security scan reports preferred
• Experience with developing client-ready enterprise reports preferred
• Experience developing and maintaining enterprise technical documentation and standard operating procedures preferred
• Experience designing, documenting, and writing project deliverables for enterprise implementation in Microsoft Office or Google Docs products preferred
The individual should be able to analyze, identify, breakdown, refine and capture the existing requirements, high-level features, and user experiences to better deliver Windows security.
