Col Ajay Singh served in the Indian Army for 28 years in the Armoured Corps till 2011. During his career, he commanded an Armoured Regiment and held senior staff appointments and instructional appointments in the Army.
He has written over 150 published articles and is the Associate Editor of the magazine, "South Asia Defence and Strategic Review". He is the author of three books. 'The Battles that Shaped Indian History' which covers an in-depth analysis of twelve of India's major battles; 'A Spectrum of Modern Warfare', which covers the nature of modern warfare and 'Through Orphaned Eyes" which is a historical novel that covers the story of India and Pakistan from Independence to date.
