FNF VS Impostor: Legacy - NEW Oversight Song & Sprites Update + Comparison (Old Vs New)
VS Impostor: Legacy's v1.1.0 has released, coming with a plethora of changes, additions and bugfixes to the mod. One of the new additions to the mod is the brand-new full overhaul of Oversight! Originally known as Oversight Hotfix, this song bumps the BPM up from 140 to 156, making his song more faster & connoting White's character as being a quick & swift Impostor as opposed to being a slow & calculated one which was represented by the older, slower version of Oversight. Some people think this overhauled song being faster means White's character of being slow & calculated has been changed, but I personally don't mind it as it does make sense with how fast White sings in Double Kill.
Another notable addition is that White now has 2 new alternate animations for his Up & Down sprites! His alt up sprite shows him looking more up to the air with his mic & knife to the sides, and his alt down sprite shows him outstretching his hands to the sides as well; both of these alt sprites mirror their normal variants where his hands are kept near his body. This was one of the smaller but appreciated additions to Legacy when it released, since they didn't have to make alt animations for White but they did anyways lol. Also, Yellow's dead body is now kept in the background as opposed to V4 where he mysteriously disappeared.
For this comparison video, I've upped my editing game, comparing both versions of Oversight with different BPM's & rewinding the song at points where either version was faster or slower than the other. And I even included New Vs Old comparisons of the scrapped Week 3 cutscenes by DozenRayhz, with even more new storyboards that not many people know about - I love how it gives White more personality that we don't see in the mod! And to top it all off, since this version of Oversight used to be Oversight Hotfix, I attained my playthrough of a fan restoration of the song back in 2023 by the V6 FM team, and compared it to the official version of the song! All-in-all, this video took a while to edit lmao.

📜 ABOUT FRIDAY NIGHT FUNKIN' (Algorithm Bender):
Friday Night Funkin' is a Newgrounds rhythm game made in HaxeFlixel originally created for Ludum Dare 47. Programmed by ninjamuffin99 with a soundtrack produced by Kawai Sprite and artwork created by PhantomArcade and evilsk8r, the game can be played on Newgrounds or played/downloaded for free on Itch.io. The plot of the game centres around Boyfriend trying to hook up with Girlfriend, but her ex-rockstar father Daddy Dearest doesn't approve of him. It's up to Boyfriend to rap battle his way through him and anyone else that stands in his way so that he can finally get freaky! Think you got what it takes? Friday Night Funkin' is an ongoing project that will continue to receive updates, bug fixes and new content. A full version of the game is currently in development, having been successfully funded via a Kickstarter campaign. The game is also open source to allow users to mod or simply look through its assets.
