This video was initially created as a "vent" video (because it's relatable), but with unrelatable lyrics cut out. I decided to do an extended version that includes the parts that are unrelatable to me personally.
I liked the story I was able to encapsulate when including the extended verses; it actually turns the video into a pretty hopeful one.
Initially she's "living dead" because she's missed out on so much in life. Eventually she's "living dead, only alive when [she] pretends that [she] has died" because she's alive when she kills off her old self, of anxiety and powerlessness, and lives as her true self, embracing her power. She's "living dead" because she's dead to her old self & is now truly alive.
