I have an immeasurable admiration for Joni Mitchell. Joni really took hold of my soul as a listener and aspiring musician with “The Dawntreader.“ After experiencing such dark rich melodic turnarounds paired with phrases like “mermaids live in colonies” I became obsessed with studying Joni’s lyrics, chord voicings, progressions, philosophies, relationships, and interviews, and immediately began collecting as many records as possible. -Kate
