In this video, I'll show you step-by-step how to set up your phone as a #PCWebcam. While this demo was filmed on my #Pixel8 shortly after the #Android14 update (which first introduced this feature!), the process is the same for all #GooglePixel phones and many other #Android devices running Android 14 or later (including the latest #Pixel9, #Pixel9Pro, and #Pixel9a!).
It's super easy! Just connect your phone to your computer using a #USBC cable, tap the USB notification on your phone, and select the #Webcam option. Then open any app on your PC that uses a webcam (like the Windows Camera app, video call software, OBS, etc.) and choose your phone as the source.
This is a fantastic and #FreeWebcam alternative, giving you significantly better #VideoQuality for #VideoCalls, online meetings, #LiveStreaming, or recording videos, especially if your laptop's built-in webcam is poor or you're using a desktop PC without one. You can even switch between front/back cameras and use the #Zoom! 🔭
