Bill Conner set out on a 2,600-mile bike ride across the country to honor his daughter Abbey, who passed away in January 2017. Abbey was an organ donor, and on Father’s Day, Bill experienced something unforgettable—he heard her heart beat again.
After riding 1,400 miles, Bill stopped in Ventress, Louisiana, to meet Loumonth Jack Jr., a young man whose life had been saved by Abbey’s heart. Jack had been given days to live after a heart attack at just 20 years old, but thanks to Abbey’s gift, he survived.
In that moment, Bill felt his daughter’s presence again, her heart still beating strong.
