Geothermal Energy is the energy obtained from the interior of the Earth. This energy is highly advantageous when compared to other energy forms as it produces 15% less greenhouse effect when compared to coal and is available 24 hours 365 days when compared to sources of energy like solar power and wind power. The availability of geothermal varies a lot and there are few places which are blessed with this form of energy. The electricity power generation plant based on geothermal energy are of dry steam type, flash type and binary type. This geothermal energy is also deployed to produce heating effect in winters and cooling effect in summers. Watch the video for more details.
