Khokhlovka is an architectural and ethnographic museum in the Perm Krai, founded in 1969. It opened to visitors on September 17, 1980. The museum is located on the picturesque bank of the Kama River, 43 km from Perm, near the village of Khokhlovka. It is the first open-air museum of wooden architecture in the Urals. It contains 23 unique monuments from the late 17th to the first half of the 20th centuries. The 35-hectare site contains various wooden buildings and structures, brought here from various locations in the Perm region and representing the finest examples of the region's folk architectural and artistic culture. Many of the monuments house ethnographic interiors and exhibition spaces. The Khokhlovka Museum is a branch of the Perm Regional Museum.
The Khokhlovka Museum is one of the largest tourist attractions in the Perm region. In recent years, the museum has reinforced the bay's banks, improved the embankment, and installed lighting masts. A tea room is open to museum guests. *******
