Sony ZV-1 vs A6400 | Which is the Best Camera for YouTube Beginners?
Today I will give you an opportunity to compare the Sony ZV1 vs the Sony A6400 for creating talking head videos on YouTube.
This video features (at the very end) the Sigma 16mm f1.4 to give you an idea of how big a step up embracing an interchangeable lens system is, should you have the budget to go for it.
The A6400 is a great camera with much better handling and controls, but please bear in mind that the lack of IBIS makes it rather impossible to record non-static vlogs. You would need to invest in a gimbal to remedy this issue.
You will find video samples shot at 4K 24p. I uploaded this Sony ZV-1 video in 1080p to make it available to prospective buyers as soon as I could.

ADDITIONAL OBSERVATIONS
the Sony ZV-1 lens does a good job indoors and produce excellent image quality
both autofocus tracking system work very well
it looks like the preamps of the ZV1 are more quiet, but they are also very good overall and not hot: indeed both footage were recorded at respectively 20 (for the built-in mics) and 10 (with the Deity D3)
the amount of distortion from the A6400 kit lens is pretty significant. Distortion is much better handled by the ZV-1... partly because the field of view is narrower despite the 24mm claim at the wide end
in a nutshell, if you are tempted by the A6400 but you are not planning to upgrade the kit lens, I would seriously consider the Sony ZV-1
