Coast Starlight - February 2017
This is a round trip with the same equipment and crew from Los Angeles to Seattle and back. The Pacific Parlour Car was not in the consist and will not be added to the train until March. The recently added business class coach is between the diner and the sight-seer lounge with two regular coaches behind the lounge. Ahead of the diner are the baggage car, transition sleeper (crew) and two sleepers for a total of 9 cars. The same P42 and Dash 8 locomotives made the entire round trip. This was a very clean and well operated train with a great service crew. The train arrived early on each end which allowed me to catch an earlier train to my final destination on my return saving almost 2 hours.
