Restoring the Trunk Handle on an Audi 80 B4 Avant
Hi friend. In this video, I want to show you how to make a handle for an Audi 80 B4 Avant. Don't look for a used handle, as they'll soon fall apart. The aluminum is no longer active; it oxidizes and deteriorates with each passing day. When I bought my car, the only thing left was the handle—a piece of wire sticking out that I could pull to open the trunk. When I bought the car, I had no idea how difficult it would be to find a used handle. After spending days online looking for used handles, the prices were sky-high, and I was in no rush to buy one. I decided to try upgrading it myself. I took it off and looked at it. The mechanism itself was still intact, but the handle itself had rotted. So I started experimenting, and this is what I came up with. I still use this handle to this day. It turned out very well, and most importantly, it was inexpensive.
