A trendy Parisian detective who considers himself as irresistible with women as he is in business, Rémi François, alias Jack Palmer, has finally accepted the mission entrusted to him by an obscure provincial notary: to find Ange Léoni, an elusive Corsican citizen who has inherited a substantial fortune. A walk in the park for Jack Palmer, accustomed to infinitely more delicate missions. But no sooner has he arrived on the Isle of Beauty than the walk in the park quickly turns into an obstacle course. Mysteriously observed through binoculars during his investigation, Palmer loses his composure in the face of local silence, rounds of myrtle liqueur, separatists who kidnap him, gendarmes who mistakenly rough him up, a wrecked car, and the enigmatic Ange Léoni who keeps giving him mysterious, missed appointments.
