Here's the situation. I've been putting up with fogging windows for a couple of years, simply opening the windows and airing out the interior, and now I'm ready to figure out the problem. I prepared for winter.
I flushed the cooling system.
I flushed the heater core, which helped. )))
But the windows still fogged up.
I was blaming the wrong thing; I thought the problem was in the interior ventilation valves.
It turned out to be much more prosaic: the vacuum actuator wasn't working.
Air was always drawn in from the interior, meaning there was no ventilation.
That's the whole problem: the exterior/interior flap wouldn't close.
I manually closed the flap, and everything was fine. )))
