Hi everyone, welcome back to my channel. Today I’m going to share with you my epic fail at adding a simple stop button to my countdown timer project in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You won’t believe how many things I tried and how none of them worked. It was a nightmare!

I started this project as a fun way to practice my web development skills and create something useful. I wanted to make a countdown timer that would show the remaining time until a certain event or deadline. I thought it would be easy to add some basic functionality like start, stop, and reset buttons. Boy, was I wrong!

I spent hours searching online for solutions, reading tutorials, watching videos, and copying code snippets. But nothing seemed to work for me. Either the timer wouldn’t stop at all, or it would stop but not resume properly, or it would reset itself randomly. I was so frustrated and confused.

I tried everything I could think of: using global variables, using local variables, using setInterval, using clearInterval, using innerHTML, using outerHTML, using innerText, using textContent… Nothing worked!

I don’t know what I did wrong or what I missed. Maybe there’s something wrong with my browser or my editor or my computer. Maybe there’s something wrong with me! 😭

If you have any idea what went wrong or how to fix it, please let me know in the comments below. I really need your help! And if you have any similar stories of coding fails or struggles, please share them too. Let’s laugh at our mistakes together! 😂
