Okay, let's take a look at how the new platinum system works. Basically, the idea behind it was that we change something, and a lot has happened behind the scenes. But we'll start with the basic functionality for now. Of course, as always, we can display the trading trends here as a chart. But we'll skip that for the first step.
There are a few basic things that I've been working on. I have chosen a test period from 2003 to 2023. The model I use here is a 'Minute OHLC', which means that I display the trading data in a chart that shows the opening, high, low and closing prices of each minute. Now let's start the test. Oh yeah, I should probably turn off the visual mode. So, we start the test here with these settings and within a very short time we see an account performance.
Until now, it was a problem in the past when you selected OLHC data, because there were very strong deviations in the trading trend to the OnTick data. That is why in the new Platinum system there is now another model that reacts only on the basis of new candles. It is also possible to switch this setting, but for the moment we will focus on the basic setting.
As we can see, we are already doing quite well. Our test will take about four to five minutes and should then give us a final result. Ideally, the result should be that we survive the 20 years with the default settings on the 1-hour chart for the euro-US dollar.
