MIVO 150 E-Mail Appliance! Send Electronic Mail WITHOUT a PC in 1999!

On this episode, we take a look at the the MIVO 150 e-mail appliance by CIDCO (Later renamed to the Earthlink Mailstation), which allowed people to send and receive electronic messages without the need of one of those pesky PCs. These were launched in 1999 in an exclusive deal with Amazon.com. Earthlink later bought CIDCO and renamed the MIVO to the Mailstation, continuing the service until 2011 when they finally stopped new signups.
If you still have your original device and signed up before 2011, Earthlink still allows you to use this quirky gadget, so some of them are likely still active to this day!
