Change Default Save Settings in Open Office for All Users
This tutorial is for administrators that need to have Open office save in Microsoft Word format without having to manually change the settings for all users. The bad thing about this tutorial is that it will not work with the newest version of Open Office. Other than that it works like a charm and takes no more than 5 minutes to set up.
