We partner with the Quinsam Hatchery in Campbell River, BC
This hatchery in Campbell River has been wildly successful. So successful in fact that pink salmon returns in September 2020 were 5X what the river system can support. Overcrowding on any river system for a specific salmon run can affect survivability because of diminished oxygen levels.
We've partnered with local first nations and Quinsam River Hatchery to sustainably harvest the extra returns over and above what the system can support.
Our salted and marinated ikura currently online at tidetotable.ca come from roe from these fish.
