Vector Tiles with PostGIS and QGIS, Astrid Emde, FOSSGIS Update 2021
Vector data is increasingly being used as vector tiles in web applications and apps. In addition to a theoretical introduction, this course will demonstrate the possibilities of vector tiles with PostgreSQL/PostGIS and QGIS. After presenting how to import OpenStreetMap data into PostgreSQL using osm2pgsql, vector tiles will be created with the PostGIS tile server pg_tileserv and then integrated into QGIS.
