My Mother and I have both completely self quarantined ourselves for over 2 weeks just so that we could be together. We stayed completely inside our homes except for 1 walk a day where there were no other people nearby. We have been taking the quarantine and social distancing very seriously, but missed each other deeply. So we decided that completely isolating ourselves for a couple weeks would be worth it to see each other again. I just wanted to explain that so that people didn't assume we were being reckless during such a crucial time in our society.
