False Creek South Conversations: Looking Back to Look Forward – Margot Long (Part 3 of 4)
The City of Vancouver is working on a neighbourhood planning program for False Creek South that will help renew the area and guide growth over the long-term that meets the needs of the community, city, and region. On November 8, 2017 the City of Vancouver held a panel discussion event to celebrate the past and look forward to the future of False Creek South. Margot Long, respected local landscape architect, shares her insights on neighbourhood design and South East False Creek planning precedents with False Creek South residents.
Margot Long holds a degree in landscape architecture from the University of Oregon, and has over 35 years of experience in private practice, specializing in community and public realm projects throughout British Columbia, North America, and Asia. She has been a partner at PWL Partnership for over 25 years. Margot has worked on some of the most sustainable projects and communities in North America, such as Dockside Green and Southeast False Creek.
