Is it possible to walk the Latin Grammy "red carpet" without playing an instrument?
The answer is yes, and my first guest did it three times.
In this premiere episode of Visualiza, I talk with José Antonio Mesones (Goster), whom I personally consider the rockstar of Peruvian graphic design.
Goster is a rare case in the industry: a designer who has earned three Latin Grammy nominations in the Best Recording Package category, competing (and sometimes losing) against giants of the music industry.
Goster opens the doors to his creative process to tell us the unofficial story behind the iconic album covers of Bareto and Melnik. But the conversation goes far beyond awards. We talk about how to balance corporate work (the kind that pays the bills) with cultural work (the kind that feeds the soul).
He also shares his experience curating the first exhibition of Peruvian graphic designers in Costa Rica and success stories leading his design agency, Partners.
