AI Jack O Lantern that follows you | Halloween Arduino project with code
Halloween is around the corner, and this year, I decided to make my decorations a little more alive. This project is a motion-tracking digital Jack O’ Lantern that actually follows people.
It’s powered by the Elecrow 7-inch CrowPanel display with an ESP32-S3 onboard, paired with the Grove Vision AI Module and a Pi Camera. The AI module handles all the image processing and sends position data to the display so Jack can follow your movement in real time.
In this video, I’ll show you how to:
Flash the AI model using the SenseCraft online tool
Connect the Grove Vision AI Module and Pi Camera
Program the CrowPanel using Arduino and LVGL
Assemble the 3D printed enclosure
