Ai Songs Are Taking Over — Even Billboard Charts!
A recent global survey reveals that most listeners can no longer tell the difference between songs made by humans and those created by artificial intelligence.
According to research conducted by Ipsos for the French streaming service Deezer, 9,000 participants listened to several short music clips—two generated by AI and one composed by humans. Deezer reported that an astonishing 97% of respondents were unable to correctly identify which tracks were AI-made.
The survey’s release coincided with a milestone in the U.S. music industry: an AI-generated country song titled “Walk My Walk” by the artist Breaking Rust reached the top of Billboard’s digital country chart this week.
