Tip: Please power off the machine and unplug the power cord before proceeding with the operation. This video skipped the steps of dismantling and assembling the material rack. When disassembling parts, it is necessary to collect the parts and screws for use during installation. Upgrading the X-axis and Z-axis involves many repetitive steps. If possible, it is recommended to upgrade both the X-axis and Z-axis simultaneously, as this can save a lot of time.

1. Remove the screws and brackets that secure the cables.

2. Remove the nozzle wire, fan wire, X motor wire, X limit wire, etc.

3. Remove the left and right plastic parts and hand tightened nuts on the X-axis.

4. Remove the fan pack from the X profile.

5. Remove the screws above the gantry frame. Remove the fixing plate on the screw rod. Unplug the LED cable and remove the upper profile.

6. Loosen the synchronous wheel of the Z-axis and remove the synchronous belt and synchronous wheel.

7. Take out the entire X-axis from the machine.

8. Remove the X-axis synchronous belt.

9.Remove the nozzle kit.

10. Remove the left and right pulley components from the X-axis profile.

11. Rotate the synchronous wheel on the X motor in a different direction, and try to be as close to the motor as possible (about 0.5mm) while rotating smoothly. Note that when tightening the synchronous wheel, a screw needs to be pressed against the flat surface of the motor shaft.

12. Install the left and right pulley components on the new X-axis profile. The screw closest to the motor needs to be fully tightened.

13. Remove the small connector from the nozzle kit.

14. Install the new nozzle bracket onto the nozzle kit using 2 M3 * 16 countersunk screws and 1 M3 * 12 cup head screw, being careful not to press the cable.

15. Remove the X-axis limit switch from the left plastic part and install the limit switch onto the new plastic part.

16. Use a small knife or file to cut off a little bit on both sides of the fan cover. If you are upgrading the Z-axis linear guide at the same time or have already upgraded the Z-axis linear guide, you do not need to do this step.

17. Install the X-axis as a whole back onto the machine, being careful not to press the cables.

18. Wrap the new synchronous belt around the synchronous wheel and the adjusting tensioner.

19. Install the adjusting tensioner on the new plastic part.

20.Fix the two new plastic parts on the left and right. Be careful not to press on the synchronous belt.

21.Install the synchronous wheel and synchronous belt of the Z-axis onto the screw rod.

22. Reinstall the upper profile and screw upper fixing plate onto the Z-axis profile. And plug in the LED light cable.

23. Install the long beam on the X-axis profile.

24. Use M3 * 5 screws to install the linear guide rail on the long beam.

25. Fix the nozzle bracket onto the slider with M3 * 5 screws.

26.Fix the nozzle kit onto the bracket with M5 * 6 screws.

27.Fix both ends of the synchronous belt on the bracket. And adjust the tightness of the synchronous belt.

28.Adjust the height of the X-axis to the left and right (this step is important), and then tighten the screws of the Z-axis synchronous wheel.

29.After adjusting, tighten the other screws.

30. Fix the fan pack onto the long beam with M4 * 35 screws.

31. Install the cable fixing components back onto the bracket.

32. Insert the nozzle wire, fan wire, X motor wire, X limit wire, etc.

The upgrade is complete. After powering on, please perform bed leveling first before starting the print. Thank you.
