LEGO Mario meets BBC micro:bit — wirelessly — all thanks to Python & Bluetooth Low Energy on macOS.
In this project:
• We scan & connect to LEGO Mario and micro:bit sequentially over BLE using Python’s bleak library.
• Mario’s IMU & RGB sensor data is parsed in real time.
• Commands like FWD, LEFT, STOP are sent via the Nordic UART Service to the micro:bit.
• The micro:bit instantly displays arrows/icons on its LED matrix.
Why it’s cool:
• Bridge works fully on macOS Bluetooth without any special dongles.
• Handles micro:bit V2’s TX/RX GATT swap automatically.
