Did I Catch The 20 Footer?!?…(Yacumama: The Mother of the Water)
Ever since I was a boy, I can remember reading snake books—and without fail, there was always one snake that appeared among the pages: the Green Anaconda (Eunectes murinus)... the largest snake in the world.
Last year, my best friend and I traveled deep into the Amazon Rainforest for two weeks in search of this legendary animal. My goal was simple: to catch and film a giant Green Anaconda in the most authentic and raw way ever captured on film.
After being pushed to the brink of exhaustion by the heat, humidity, unforgiving terrain, and the relentless biting and stinging insects... we achieved that goal.
This documentary is meant to shed light on a beautiful and often misunderstood animal—and to show just how massive these snakes can truly get. It's imperative that we protect and conserve the Amazon Rainforest, as it is home to many legendary creatures like this one.
