The film "A Girl from Dar El Salam" revolves around Omnia, a poor girl living in the Dar El Salam district of Cairo. After graduating from high school, due to her father's poor financial situation (he works as a taxi driver), she works at an auction house. One day, an Arab businessman sees her there and is immediately captivated by her. He proposes marriage, and despite the significant age difference, Omnia's family agrees to the marriage, hoping he will lift them out of poverty.
