YouTube Remove the Like Count || Why is my like count not showing on YouTube?
What is YouTube thinking?! If you opened your app today and noticed the like button looks completely blank, you aren't crazy. YouTube is quietly rolling out an aggressive new update that strips the like count right off the thumbs-up button.
Just like they did with the dislike button a few years ago, they are hiding engagement metrics—making it impossible for viewers to spot fake tutorials, clickbait, and fraud videos instantly. In this video, we look at why YouTube is doing this, where the like count is actually hiding on your screen, and what this means for your feed.
Wondering how to bring the like count back or how to see the hidden likes? Right now, the bug/layout is mostly hitting the mobile app. If you want to fix it and see the counts properly, you can switch over to a PC browser where the numbers are still showing normally. For browsers and mobile workarounds to force hidden stats back onto the screen, tools like the "Return YouTube Dislike" extension or "Show Dislike" apps help bring the classic UI, likes, and dislike metrics back into view.
What do you think about this new update? Is your like counter missing too? Drop a comment below and let me know your thoughts!
