While on mission off the coast of the United Arab Emirates, OceanX caught up with our Postdoc, Larissa Frühe, to understand how we collect and process eDNA (environmental DNA) samples while aboard OceanXplorer. We can learn so much about biodiversity and the marine life that live in a particular region just from the DNA they leave behind in the water column or sediment.
