We Got TOO CLOSE to a Bear in La Mauricie National Park in Quebec
🐻 THIS WAS INTENSE! Our most unforgettable day at La Maurice National Park - from peaceful solo canoeing to a TERRIFYING bear charge that had our hearts racing!
We started the day cooking breakfast at our campsite before heading out for an incredible canoe adventure. With the rental office closing before our return, we were completely on our own paddling across the serene, empty lake. The solitude was magical! This was our kind of adventure with no one else on the lake or even near the lake.
Then came the 63-kilometer scenic drive through La Maurice's stunning forest... and that's when things got WILD. We spotted FOUR bears, and one decided to get a little too curious. What started as an amazing wildlife sighting turned into a heart-stopping moment when the bear CHARGED toward our vehicle! 😱
After that adrenaline rush, we returned to camp, cooled off with showers (the humidity was INTENSE), and ended the perfect day with BBQ dinner and campfire relaxation while the rest of the campground slept. Rain, humidity, and bear encounters - this is what real adventure looks like!
