I wanted to build a concrete fire pit coffee table for my new back deck but I didn't want it to weigh hundreds of pounds... which it would have if I poured this out of solid concrete... instead I made a wooden frame and wrapped it in cement board before coating that with multiple coats of white thinset to achieve a white concrete look without the weight or form-pouring. I'm curious to see how this holds up during the next couple years.... if anything bad happens I'll be sure to make a comment below and pin it or make a follow up video!
